Not Qualified for Full Licensure?
BSWs and MSWs who do not qualify for full licensure (e.g., have not completed the 4,000 hours of required work experience or have not taken the exam) should apply for the Limited Licensed Bachelor Social Worker or Limited Licensed Master Social Worker credentials. These limited licenses will allow you to perform the duties of LBSWs and LMSWs under supervision until you qualify for full licensure. Further, work experience earned by an individual after September 1, 2005, must be done under a limited license for it to count towards full licensure.
